Conveyor + controls integration

Conveyor, sortation, and controls for distribution centers.

Northline designs, installs, and supports conveyor systems—and writes the controls that run them—so one team owns your line from layout to go-live.

Solutions

Where Northline fits in your facility

Start with the application. We size the equipment and controls around it.

Typical scope: induction, sortation, and divert lanes to shipping doors

Case conveyor

Powered roller and belt conveyor for receiving, picking, and outbound flows—laid out around your building, not a catalog.

02

Sortation & accumulation

Merges, zero-pressure accumulation, and sortation to shipping lanes, with controls written to match your peak shape.

Controls retrofits

PLC and panel upgrades on existing conveyor, with cutovers staged around your shipping shifts.

Our approach

We start with how your building actually runs

The same conveyor footprint behaves differently in every operation. Fit comes before design.

01

Assess

Volumes, peak shapes, carton mix, and the constraints of your building.

02

Design

Layout, equipment selection, and controls architecture in one package.

03

Install

Mechanical, electrical, and panel work by one crew, staged around operations.

04

Support

Commissioning, operator training, field service, and spare parts.

Project example · fictional

Controls retrofit for a regional grocery distribution center

Obsolete conveyor PLCs and panels were replaced without stopping outbound shipping. Cutovers were staged zone by zone between shifts, with the old and new controls able to run side by side during transition.

Project inquiry

Tell us about your facility

An engineer reviews every inquiry and replies—usually with a few questions before any quote.

Demonstration form—it doesn’t send anything.
